| The
Grenada Municipal Airport is located 3 miles north of
Grenada in the Grenada Air Industrial Park. It has 2 operational
lighted runways: (1) 13-31 7,000 feet by 150 feet and
(2) 4-22 5,000 feet by 100 feet. The airport has several
approaches GPS RNAV, ILS, and NDB. A GCO (Ground Communication
Outlet) was added in 2000, and an AWOS (Automatic Weather
Observation Station) was added in 2001. The Airport has
plenty of hanger space and is in the process of adding
T-hangers. |

The
Grenada Municipal Airport currently has a military fuel
contract and serves as regular stop over point for various
military planes, including: Air-Force One, C-41's, C-130's,
C-17 Globemasters, B-52's, DC-10's, KC-10's, 747's, and
a number of helicopters. There is a fire station with
an air crash and rescue truck located on the field.Additional
uses include aerobatics, agricultural operations, helicopter
operations, and ultralights. Flying lessons can be arranged. |
Williams Aviation, Inc. mans the airport facilities
and fuel. Hours of operation are as follows: 7 am to
6 pm weekdays, April - October; 7 am to 5 pm November
- March; 8 am to 5 pm weekends; and after hours on request.
