| Ambassadors
- The Ambassadors are the” public relations"
of the Chamber. They represent the Chamber at grand openings,
ribbon cuttings and other special events like the Annual Meeting
and Thunder on Water. Ambassadors call on new businesses in
the area to encourage membership in the Chamber, serve as "mentors"
for new members and make sure that members are visited throughout
the year. Ambassadors meet once a month for a working lunch
and attend Chamber functions as required. |
| Civic
Pride - This group works in the
community by serving as an advisory group to the City Council
on projects to beautify our area. They help identify projects
and establish priorities and then implement those projects that
are approved and funded. Past projects have included distribution
of Dogwood trees and Crepe Myrtles, landscaping at various intersections,
welcome signs, and clean-up of sites throughout the area. |
| Education-
The education committee exists to support education
efforts in Grenada County. Programs exist that recognize students
and educators for outstanding achievements at the Junior High
School levels. This Committee has established a mentoring program
at Grenada Junior High School. In addition, the committee focuses
on projects designed to help maintain the workforce we have
now and will need in the future from an educational standpoint. |
