What Does the Chamber Do?

The purpose of the Grenada County Chamber of Commerce is to advance civic, economic and social welfare for the people of the area.

What exactly does the Chamber of Commerce do? The Chamber stays on top of what the community needs are and puts plans into action to help satisfy those needs. The Chamber continually works with all types of businesses to help meet information requests, whether it is a new business seeking to locate in the area or another wanting to expand into a building or space that is available.

The Chamber also aids those who are seeking information by answering questions, pointing persons in the right direction to find the right information and by directing prospects to the right person(s), business or agency.

The Chamber of Commerce is the vital link between business and prospective customers. When a new business or manufacturing facility locates in the area this means jobs! Jobs supply income, and income supplies customers for area businesses.

What if there were no customers? The community retailer would not survive. The Grenada County Chamber of Commerce strives to create new jobs and sustain growth so that Grenada County residents and business owners will enjoy the success they have earned.

Companies that get their workforce, customers, clients and patients from the community benefit from Chamber services because a healthy community supports all of these entities.

How is all of this accomplished? The success of the Chamber, and the community, comes through the volunteer effort of our members. Our members and their investment are the base of a thriving community.
