Education, training, dreams...this is what characterizes the Grenada School District. We help students fulfill dreams for the future by providing a solid foundation. Instruction for the individual's ability level is provided by emphasizing study and basic learning skills.
The Grenada School District is the recipient of myriad awards. The Public Education Forum of Mississippi has recognized the "Walls that Teach" initiative, the "Kidzeum," and the "Discovery Lab" with Awards of Excellence, and Business Week Magazine has acclaimed Grenada Elementary as one of the country's "Break the Mold" schools. For seven consecutive years, Grenada has been selected to exhibit at the National School Board's "Education Excellence Fair," a display commending superior programs across the country. The American Association of School Administrators presented the "Leadership for Learning Award for 2000" to Dr. Buddy Pender, one of three superintendents selected nationwide for this honor. Grenada School District fosters innovative and productive programs and continuously searches for the most effective teaching methods available for optimum student achievement.
Grenada School District has attained a variety of achievements during the past decade. From our nationally recognized band programs, to the acquisition of the Tech-Prep program and improvement in student achievement scores, Grenada School District is continually advancing. State-of-the-art student training programs paired with over $2,000,000 of modern technology are preparing our students for tomorrow's challenges.
