USA Returns to Beautiful Grenada Lake
Crappie USA Inc., “America’s Premier National
Crappie Fishing Tournament Organization” will
return to Mississippi’s Grenada Lake near Grenada,
Mississippi on May 3, 2008. The spring event in 2005
broke all records and this year could be another one
for the record books. Anglers will be fishing for a
7-fish limit of crappie, which could net them major
payback in this team event and a chance to advance to
the Cabela’s Crappie USA Classic in September.
A pre-tournament seminar will be held on Friday evening
the 2nd at the Days Inn, Grenada, Mississippi. Sign
up will begin at 5:00pm with the meeting and a National
Sponsor Field Test Product Drawing starting at 7:00pm
local time. This seminar is open to the public.
The tournament weigh-in will be held on Saturday the
3rd at the Grenada Landing, Scenic Loop 333, Grenada,
beginning at 3:00pm. We are looking for a great weigh-in
on Grenada, which is known for excellent springtime
crappie action and last years record setting event.
The Grenada Tourism Commission would like to extend
a warm welcome to all the Crappie USA anglers to this
major event. Last years event held in Grenada was a
major success and we are looking forward to once again
hosting such a major event in Grenada. Host lodging
for the Crappie USA Grenada Lake Tournament
will be the Grenada Day’s Inn, formerly the (Holiday
Inn), 662-226-2851 and the Jameson Inn, 662-226-9897.
Rooms are limited so make your reservations early and
mention Crappie USA.
You can enter our tournaments by filling out and sending
in an entry form or by registering on our website at
www.crappieusa.com
before the deadline listed on the form. Teams may also
enter at the pre-tournament seminar on Friday night.
All late entries will be subject to a $20.00 late fee.
ACA membership is required to fish in our tournaments
and a space is provided on our entry form for you to
become a member. Teams may consist of one or two partners.
If you made less than $2000.00 per team in Crappie USA
tournaments last year, you may fish in either the Amateur
division or the Semi Pro Division. If you made over
$2000.00 per team last year, you may fish the Semi Pro
Division Only. No product purchase necessary to fish
either division. If you desire to join the point’s
race, your $100 team entry fee must be received prior
to participation in an event for points to be tabulated.
Points will be tabulated in the Semi Pro and Amateur
Divisions.
Entry fees in all qualifying tournaments are $75.00
per team in the Amateur Division and $155.00 in the
Semi-Pro Division. Entry fees in both divisions include
the Big Fish Pot. All participants must be a member
of the American Crappie Association to fish in these
events. American Crappie Association membership is $20.00
for adults and $10.00 for spouse and youth memberships.
Each membership will include a product gift pack and
subscription to Crappie Journal the official publication
of Crappie USA, one of the top crappie publications
in the nation.
Advancing To The Regional
• All teams who win a local event must register
for Regional to maintain Classic qualification.
• The top ten teams from the Semi Pro Division
who have not qualified will advance to the Semi Pro
Division at the regional.
• The top ten teams from the Amateur Division
who have not qualified will also advance to the Amateur
division at the regional.
• One team will advance to the Regional through
Crappie USA Scholarship Fund drawing held at each seminar.
(Winner of drawing must provide qualifying team names
at by weigh in).
• Top finishing adult/youth team not qualifying
in the top 10 of each division will advance to the Regional.
(Youth = under 16)
• Top finishing male/female team not qualifying
in the top 10 of each division will advance to the Regional.
• The top two teams from an ACA affiliated club
fish-off will advance to the Regional event in their
area.

$170,000.00 Bonus Program for 2005
In 2005 Crappie USA will be offering a new bonus program
for those qualifying for regional events and the Cabela’s
Crappie USA Classic. In all over $170,000.00 will be

Crappie USA Classic will be held on Southern Indiana’s
beautiful Patoka Lake.
Crappie USA “Crappie Kids Rodeo”
Held in conjunction with the tournament will be the
Crappie Kids Fishing Rodeo to be held Saturday morning
at the Grenada Landing. Sign up for the Kids Rodeo will
be at 8:00am with the rodeo from 9:00am till 11:00am.
The Crappie USA Kids Fishing Rodeo is a chance for children
of the area to get out and enjoy nature, do a little
fishing and win some prizes. The event is free to all
children 12 and under with all participants eligible
for a chance to win one of the four, Crappie USA $5,000.00
scholarships to be awarded at the Cabela’s Crappie
USA Classic next September on Indiana’s Patoka
Lake.
Crappie USA and our anglers have contributed $165,000.00
to the “Crappie Kids” Scholarships since
1997. We are very proud to be a part of the education
process for the youngsters who participate in our tournaments
as adult/youth teams and those who fish in the Crappie
USA “Kids Fishing Rodeos”.
