Daily Fishing Limits

Creel and size limits - The aggregate daily limit is twice the daily limit.

Effective March 21, 2006, the following Crappie Regulation Change will occur for Grenada Lake:

Legal daily creel: Maximum of 30 fish

Five crappie 12 inches or less may be kept as part of the legal daily creel limit of 30.  At no time may an angler be in possession of more than five crappie 12 inches or less in length.  All other crappie caught, measuring 12 inches or less in length must be returned to the lake immediately.  The correct method of measuring a fish is with the mouth closed and the tail squeezed together to give the maximum length.

Grenada Lake anglers may fish no more than three poles per person.  Each pole may have no more than two hooks or lures.  This change is intended to provide more anglers an opportunity to catch a trophy-sized crappie.

For additional information call the Bureau of Fisheries at 601-432-2200.

*Closed to harvest in all waters EXCEPT Bay Spring Reservoir, Divide Section and Pickwick Resevoir.

**Crappie bag limits in lakes, streams and rivers adjoining adjacent states shall be that of the adjacent states or shall be the Mississippi limit, whichever is greater.
