Grenada School District Educator of the Year

Beth recipient is employed by the Grenada School District as a 2nd Grade Teacher.  She and her husband, Barry, have two children. 

Her Community involvement includes formerly a member of the junior Auxiliary and the current president of the women of the Church of First Presbyterian Church in Winona.  She is also a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Sorority, since 2009.

She was influenced to become a teacher by the desire to help others, a love for children, and the respect she had for the Teaching Profession.  She feels her greatest contribution in education is instilling a love and desire for learning in children. 
She encourages the people in the community to get involved with children in their community; she feels that any organization that would help children would be beneficial for them and also greatly help society.  She feels that volunteering is important for everyone, if one person is helped through a volunteer effort; the hard work is worth the time and dedication.
