Event Description:
This event starts in April and go through June each year. This is a Free concert sponsored by the Grenada Chamber of Commerce and its Unity Committee. This event spotlights some of Grenada local talents. Each Friday there will be a different Band, Group or Artist to perform.
Whether you come out and enjoy the music or the people, this is a great opportunity to show off Grenada talent and we do appreciate them
The Mission of the Unity Committee is to:
Plan and develop a communication effort in order to promote harmony, equality, and unity through a greater understanding of diversity in our Community.
The Chairman of the Committee is Minister Jonathan Moore this year.
The Unity Committee meets once a month the First Wednesday of each month. At this meeting they discuss some of the racial Issues in Grenada, Past & Present one’s, Issues with Gangs, Religion, Drugs and many more problems that is causing disharmony in our City and they try to come up with ways to solve them.

Downtown Jubilee

Event Description:
The Grenada’s Downtown Jubilee is held on Grenada’s beautiful Historic Downtown Square on the Third Saturday of each September. This fun filled family event includes: Arts & Crafts, Childern's Activities, Live Entertainment, Food Vendors, Antique Car/ Truck/ Bike Show, Horseback Riding, Bungee Jumping and much more.
The Jubilee is the vision of committees of the Grenada Area Chamber of Commerce to promote Grenada and it’s beautiful historic square. We invite everyone to come and enjoy all of the beautiful attractions Grenada has and a day of Family Fun.
HELP NEEDED! If you are interested in volunteering on the planning committee and/or helping during the Jubilee, contact the Chamber office.
Opening Ceremony:
The ceremony will kicked off at 9:00 a.m.
Booth Spaces:
Booth spaces are still available. Fees for Arts & Crafts (12’ X 12’) $50 and Food Vendors (12’ X 12’) $75. Mississippi Sales Tax must be paid by cash at the check-in station before you depart. Hurry…there are still some great spots available.

Car Show:
Cars, Trucks and Bikes are welcome! All Proceeds will be donated to Local Charities. Registration is 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the fee is $20. Awards will be given out at 3 p.m. Categories include: Club Participation, Mayor’s Pick, Best Car and Truck. Salute To Industry Golf Tournament

The Grenada Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors a “Salute to Industry” golf tournament on the third Wednesday of October of each year. This is our way of saying thank you to our Existing Industry! We appreciate all that they do in Grenada.
Grenada’s manufacturing community is one of many attributes that makes Grenada a vibrant, healthy place to live, work and raise a family. Industry’s Impact is felt in the jobs they provide, directly and indirectly, taxes they pay, products they purchase, and visitors who come into Grenada County. Grenada industries help the citizens of Grenada County enjoy better health care, more services and a higher standard of living.
Whether you come out and enjoy a round of golf or donate prizes for our grand prize-giveaways, this is a great opportunity to show our industries that we do appreciate them.
Sponsorship:
Help us celebrate our Industries by becoming a sponsor or providing gifts for door prizes or promotional items for tee gifts for the players. Please return all Sponsor and Player Registration Form to the Chamber of Commerce by October 1.
TITLE SPONSOR: $2500 – Your Company name will be included in the tournament title and you will receive all the publicity mentioned below plus the sponsorship of two golf holes. Title sponsors receive 8 golf passes, lunch and dinner at no additional cost.
GOLD SPONSOR: $500 – Your Company name will be displayed on the Sponsors board that is prominently displayed at the tournament. Gold sponsors receive four (4) passes for golf and the awards dinner at no additional cost. Your company will be sponsoring one golf hole identified with a tee marker sign.
SILVER SPONSOR: $250 – Your Company will be sponsoring one golf hole identified with a tee marker sign and your company name will be displayed on the Sponsors board. Silver sponsors receive two (2) passes for golf and the awards dinner at no additional cost.
BRONZE SPONSOR: $125 – Your Company name will be displayed on the Sponsors board and you will receive one (1) pass for golf and the awards and dinner at no additional cost.

BALLOONS OVER GRENADA 2012

Event Description:
Grenada Tourism Commission will host its first annual 2012 BALLOONS OVER GRENADA FESTIVAL on October 26-27th at Grenada Lake. A BALLOON GLOW Friday evening will start the Festival. Early Saturday morning will be a balloon race, followed by a full day of FUN, FOOD AND MUSIC. Ending the day will be another BALLOON GLOW and also a time to enjoy a balloon ride. This event is FREE and is for the entire family.
Saturday, A CHILI COOKOFF sponsored by The Chamber of Commerce and a booth where you can purchase t- shirts and posters (signed and numbered by local artist, Alana McQueen). Alana is responsible for the beautiful artwork for this event.
BALLOONS OVER GRENADA t-shirts and posters will be available to buy at the Downtown Jubilee Festival which will be held September 15th downtown Grenada on the square.
More information in detail will be posted as we get closer to the event.

Christmas Parade

Event Description:
The Grenada Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors a Christmas Parade on the 1st Tuesday of December each year on our beautiful historic downtown district. Whether you register your group for a float, show your favorite car, pile your kids on a decorated trailer or just sit back, relax and enjoy the parade, the Grenada Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade is for EVERYONE!

Performing entries are allowed 30 seconds camera time. Cable One will be located between the old post office and the Masonic Temple on the east side of Main Street. We encourage all bands or dance teams to have something prepared during this time. The parade will be shown on Channel 7.
Parade Route:
Line up: All Police Vehicles will be on Green Street. All Floats will line up on South Street. All Fire Trucks will line up on Union Stree. There will be numbers along the Street. Go on to Green Street from Go all the way around the square down main street, Parade will end on Fairfield & Main Street.
