McCain is a 13,000 acre National Guard Training Site located
in Grenada County. McCain is a training area for Armor, Artillery
and other units. Camp McCain has approximately 125 employees
and provides an economic impact of some $8 million annually.
This site served as an AT training site for an additional 4,500
soldiers during the summer of 2004, due to the federalization
of Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg. |
